Genesis Employees Credit Union Selects Aimbridge Indirect Lending; Program Links Credit Union to More Than 300 Auto Dealers

DENVER--Nov. 8, 2005--Zanesville, Ohio-based Genesis Employees Credit Union (GECU) has selected Aimbridge Indirect Lending, a financing channel that connects credit unions with automotive dealer networks to provide members and potential members with automobile loans and leases, to support its first indirect auto lending program. GECU is a member of the Ohio Credit Union League.

With $7 million in assets and more than 3100 members, GECU serves the Genesis HealthCare System, a not-for-profit organization that operates two local Zanesville hospital sites - Genesis-Bethesda and Genesis-Good Samaritan as well as several affiliated health care organizations.

A small but growing credit union, GECU has realized more than 20 percent growth in assets in the last two years and needed to increase its loan portfolio to continue expansion efforts. GECU recognized that implementing an indirect lending program would allow it to increase total loan volume, attract new members and offer additional services to its existing members - particularly after hours and on weekends.

"The Aimbridge program provides Genesis Employees Credit Union with the tools and technology it needs to manage the indirect loan portfolio," said Mike King, president and CEO of GECU. "After reviewing the program, we decided Aimbridge was the best solution for our credit union. The program's technology is straightforward and it gives members the option to get a car loan anywhere, any time."

With more than 300 dealer relationships in the Ohio market, Aimbridge has built a well-respected reputation amongst the dealers and credit unions in the area. It was no surprise that the Ohio Credit Union League recommended Aimbridge's indirect lending program to GECU. After reviewing the system, the credit union selected Aimbridge because of its credit union expertise, existing dealer relationships, excellent customer service and user-friendly technology.

"Managing dealer relationships is an integral part of a successful lending program -- it determines if your credit union will get the loan," said King. "The more you are in front of the dealer, the better your chances are of getting the loan. Aimbridge's program allows GECU to continually build dealer relations."

The Web-based, customizable program makes the indirect lending process easy for the dealer, credit union and members. Automated decisioning allows GECU to control the credit quality, parameters and criteria used to buy auto loans, allowing credit unions to get high quality deals.

Ann Schmitt, COO of Aimbridge, said, "Aimbridge's objective is to offer the best indirect lending technology and dealer management program to the Ohio market as well as other markets we serve. Genesis Employees Credit Union is dedicated to providing outstanding financial products and services to their members and, with our indirect lending program, Aimbridge hopes to contribute to its continued growth and success."

Aimbridge's Indirect Lending program is successful in the Florida, Texas, Missouri, Ohio, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia and Michigan markets.
