NEW YORK--Nov. 7, 2005--Commonwealth Worldwide, a leader in premier corporate and event travel, announced today the expansion of its Greater New York operations.Commonwealth introduced its comprehensive transportation services to New York and New Jersey customers in July 2004. In one year, Commonwealth's New York fleet grew from 7 to over 50 vehicles and due to enormous customer demand, Commonwealth Worldwide recently moved its entire New York operations to a larger facility. The new 20,000 sq. foot garage and offices will enable Commonwealth to meet current and future demands of its New York and New Jersey based clientele.
Opening the New York office underscores Commonwealth Worldwide's belief that exceptional customer care is critical to success. Dawson A. Rutter, president and chief executive officer of Commonwealth Worldwide stated, "We want to have company owned operations in cities where we have a large customer base to give them the hands on service they expect and deserve. We have developed a large number of corporate customers in New York City therefore it was fitting to open a major operation there." The New York team, with its extensive expertise in the chauffeured transportation industry in the city, will enable Commonwealth Worldwide to deliver exceptional service to the New York and New Jersey markets and to expand its scope in the national limousine market.
The move into New York and New Jersey is a major component of the company's strategic growth initiative. "In this extremely competitive market, we are thrilled by the reception we have received to our services in New York," states Dawson Rutter. "While we experience phenomenal growth, everyone at Commonwealth remains committed to our primary goals of providing exceptional service, corporate accountability and dynamic, proactive communication with our customers."
