Crawford & Company U.K. Wins British Insurance Award
ATLANTA, July 11 -- Jeffrey T. Bowman, president, Crawford & Company International, Inc. is delighted to announce that Crawford has received a prestigious British Insurance Award.
Crawford won the Major Loss category, which was announced at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at The Royal Albert Hall in London.
Crawford's entry for the "Major Loss" category was a claim involving The National Motorcycle Museum and Conference Center which suffered a major fire in September 2003 resulting in catastrophic damage to the structure and contents, including many historic exhibits. Crawford deployed a full expert team and worked closely with the insured, insurer, broker, and assessor to implement a project-managed approach to drive the business continuity and loss mitigation initiatives. Closure was achieved in seven months whereas ordinarily a loss of such scale, complexity, and value might have been expected to take as long as 30 months.
"Crawford is delighted to have won this esteemed British Insurance Award in the Major Loss category. The award demonstrates that Crawford understands its clients' needs and executes a professional, fast, and effective claim solution," said Ian Muress, chief executive officer, Crawford U.K. and Ireland. "We are very pleased that the hard work and dedication of the whole team has been acknowledged through this award."
