A&D Technology, Inc. Releases Enhanced Powertrain Testing Data Acquisition and Control Software
ANN ARBOR, Mich.--Nov. 4, 2005--A&D Technology, Inc. (formerly MTS Powertrain) today announced the release of ADAPT 4.7, an enhanced version of its data acquisition and control software for powertrain testing. Featuring support for faster, more powerful processors, and new and enhanced instrument interfaces, version 4.7 will streamline test definition and execution, increasing users' confidence in test results and accelerating the powertrain testing process."This latest iteration of ADAPT testing software raises industry standards for ease of use, advanced functionality and flexibility," said Rob Lamb, Global Marketing Manager. "This exemplifies why test professionals worldwide turn to A&D for the innovative solutions they need to enhance lab productivity and reduce product time to market."
ADAPT 4.7 provides a complete, integrated powertrain testing environment. It gives engineers the ability to visualize live data and control complex sequences defined for emissions testing. ADAPT supports interfaces to over 120 test cell instruments from 20 different vendors, giving users the freedom to select from among best-in-class providers without being tied to a single supplier's offerings. These include an ASAP3 ECU interface, Itaco Wave3 drive interface, and a selection of emission analyzers for certification testing.
"The enhancements in ADAPT 4.7 will enable engineers to define more complex test cycles along with direct communication with the ECU/TCU," said George Shaw, A&D product marketing manager. "The software provides a solid, real-time platform for use with A&D Atlas software to automate multi-dimensional testing, such as engine mapping and calibration, reducing the time required for some steps from months to days."
