Porsche Cars North America Reports October 2005 U.S. Sales
YTD Sales Keep Pace
ATLANTA, Nov. 1 -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced October retail sales in the United States totaled 2,588 cars, a decrease of 14 percent compared to the same period last year. Total year-to-date sales were 26,397 cars compared to 26,353 for the first ten months of last year.
Despite Hurricane Wilma, which closed several Porsche dealers in Florida causing delivery delays and lost sales, October 2005 was a month of strong demand for Porsche sports cars and the Cayenne. October 2004 was a particularly difficult month to beat; with a volume of 3,021 cars, it was the best October in Porsche's history.
In addition, dealers sold 402 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicles compared to 361 for the same period last year.
