Solutia's Vanceva(R) Laminated Glass Expands its Presence at SEMA

Maker of glass interlayers shows concepts, color and metallic glass for new vehicles

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 1 -- After a successful launch of its Vanceva(R) Laminated Glass products for the Dodge Magnum and HUMMER H2, Solutia returns to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show for its second year with a vastly expanded presence. Solutia has worked closely with DUB Magazine, automotive manufacturers and aftermarket restylers, resulting in Vanceva(R) Laminated Glass being part of no less than 14 vehicles at the show.

In its own booth, Booth #12550, Solutia is hosting a HUMMER H2 by specialty luxury vehicle designer Bruce Canepa, who restyles vehicles for celebrities such as Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno. His designs incorporate the best in exterior, interior and performance modifications. Solutia's booth is also hosting its own HUMMER H2 concept, which features Vanceva(R) Laminated Glass in all glazing positions. A Smoke Gray colored laminated glass in the windshield and front doors provides a crisp clean look and the rear doors, rear quarter windows and back window feature a Smoke Gray metallic glass to complement the chrome accessories. The H2s are excellent examples of how laminated glass can dramatically enhance vehicle styling.

Solutia's Vanceva(R) Laminated Glass will also be on vehicles at booths around the show:

In addition to the aesthetics of Vanceva(R) Laminated Glass, other benefits include:

* Superior Interior Sound Control -- Vanceva(R) Laminated Glass reduces noise entering the vehicle by up to six decibels in the most sensitive hearing range (1000 - 6000 Hz). Conversely, it also keeps the good sound in, enhancing the listening experience for passengers.

* Solar protection -- Vanceva(R) Laminated Glass screens up to 95 percent of the sun's harmful UVA and UVB radiation that can cause vehicle interiors to deteriorate. The product has an ultraviolet protection factor of 50+ (SPF). With the addition of a metallic interlayer, Infrared Radiation is also significantly reduced, resulting in a cooler, more comfortable interior.

* Enhanced Vehicle Security -- Vanceva(R) Laminated Glass takes up to ten times longer to penetrate than standard tempered glass, thereby deterring opportunistic thieves looking for an easy target.
