LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2005) - WIX Filters is featuring its extensive
line-up of premium filtration products for automotive, diesel,
agricultural, industrial and specialty applications during the 2005
Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) from Nov. 1-4 at the Sands
Expo Center in Las Vegas.

WIX Filters Previews 2006 Marketing Campaign at AAPEX
LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2005) - WIX Filters is previewing its bold new
marketing campaign and the tagline "WIX. WHERE IT COUNTS."(tm) during
the company's introduction of its 2006 sales and marketing promotions at
the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX).
"WIX Filters' aggressive new campaign is rooted in the company's more
than 66 years as a provider of premium quality filtration products and
its global leadership position in the heavy duty filtration market,"

Consumer print and radio advertising, trade magazine advertising,

WIX Filters Announces 2006 Sales Promotion Lineup
LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2005) - WIX Filters will bring its customers an
exciting and eclectic lineup of sales promotions in 2006 with programs
offering discounts, collectibles, sweepstakes and marketing support
designed to increase customer sales and raise WIX Filters brand
awareness. WIX is presenting its annual promotions calendar this week at
the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX).
"The sales promotions that we have planned for 2006 are designed to
support the WIX brand by offering our customers unique and effective
incentives to meet - and exceed - their sales goals," said Bruce
Johnston, brand manager, WIX Filters.
"We are confident that new programs such as the WIX 'Party Like a Rock
Star' Sweepstakes, the Affinia Motorsports Promotion and the WIX
Ag/Fleet Filter Discount Promotion, coupled with the continuation of
successes like the WIX Lap Leader Award and the Route WIX die cast
collectible promotion, will continue to increase awareness of the WIX
brand and drive sales of WIX products."
WIX will support the brand with a total of 12 sales promotions
throughout 2006, including four new promotions. Customers can find the
details of each promotion in the WIX Filters 2006 Sales and Promotions
Planner. Following are brief descriptions of the promotions:
WIX Hummer H2 (January - December 2006)
WIX Filters' mobile marketing unit, a custom Hummer H2, increases the
visibility of WIX Filters through an educational and entertaining
experience.
The WIX Hummer H2 will drive sales by providing an opportunity for
customers to learn about the technical superiority of WIX Filters in an
experience similar to the WIX Institute of Filtration Technology. The
WIX custom H2 will generate awareness and attention at retail locations,
trackside hospitality events, trade publication editor visits, trade
shows and more.
In addition to the educational component, customers will be entertained
by the powerful sound system and appealing graphics of the WIX Hummer H2
experience, and will have opportunities to receive WIX apparel, WIX
Racing memorabilia, discount coupons for WIX products and other
giveaways designed to increase customer traffic.
The WIX Hummer H2 will appear at approximately 150 events throughout the
U.S. in 2006, providing valuable visibility for the WIX brand and
opportunities to support sales for WIX customers. A tour calendar will
be announced later in 2005.
WIX "Party Like a Rock Star" Sweepstakes (February - November 2006)
New for 2006 is the WIX "Party Like a Rock Star" Sweepstakes, designed
to drive consumer traffic to automotive suppliers where WIX Filters are
sold. Throughout 2006, race fans will be encouraged by national
advertising and highly visible point-of-sale displays at automotive
aftermarket distributors carrying WIX products and Speedway Motorsports
Inc. (SMI) facilities to register for a VIP trip for four to the 2007
NASCAR race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. SMI-owned tracks include:
Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Motor
Speedway, Lowe's Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway.
The prize package includes garage and victory lane passes, deluxe
accommodations at the Hard Rock Hotel, four round-trip airline tickets,
four personalized leather jackets and a helicopter ride to the race.
WIX Installer Promotion
(February - April 2006; June - August 2006; October - December 2006)
Designed to help installers increase sales of WIX filters, this filter
assortment promotion package includes the WIX "Party Like a Rock Star"
Sweepstakes, the new "WIX. WHERE IT COUNTS." POS, and much more.
WIX Filters Lap Leader Award Contest (February - November 2006)
The WIX Filters WIX Lap Leader Award Contest enables race fans to pit
their knowledge against one another in a weekly competition to predict
which drivers in NASCAR's NEXTEL Cup, Busch Series and Craftsman Truck
Series will lead the most laps in each race. Each race week WIX will
award one winner per series a prize pack including one WIX Filters
shirt, one WIX Filters hat and a year's supply of WIX oil and air
filters for one car or light duty truck.
At the end of the season, one winner per series will receive an
all-expenses paid trip to Las Vegas Speedway for the 2007 NEXTEL Cup
race. The package includes two tickets to the race, two pit passes, $750
spending money, two nights hotel accommodations, airfare and a five-year
supply of WIX oil and air filters for one car or light duty truck.
WIX Ag/Fleet Filter Discount Promotion (January - June 2006; August -
November 2006)
The WIX Ag/Fleet Filter Discount Promotion will drive farm and fleet
sales in the Spring and Fall with a 10 percent discount on selected
Ag/Fleet filters. Customers can take advantage of this promotional
discount up to three times during the promotional period.
Route WIX Die Cast Collectible Promotion
(Pre-Sell Dates: February - April 15, 2006; Consumer Promotion: October
- December 2006)
The 1969 Talledega Torino Ford, driven by Richard Petty to his 100th
NASCAR victory, represents not only a time when Petty used WIX filters,
but also a period when he was a spokesperson for WIX. Through its
distributors, WIX will offer consumers the opportunity to purchase a
1/24 scale replica, the only die cast replica of any scale that has the
design and approval of both Holman Moody and Ford. The car was designed
by Holman Moody, the most successful racing operation of the 1960s and
1970s. Holman Moody's success depended upon using the best products and
equipment, like WIX Filters, the #1 Filter in NASCAR.
Affinia Motorsports Promotion (January - December 2006)
The Affinia Motorsports Promotion is designed to encourage WD's, auto
part stores and service centers to switch to WIX Filters by offering
several unique racing incentives, including NASCAR race tickets and
hospitality, use of the WIX H2 for promotional events and much needed

WIX Racing Product Sponsorship Promotion (January - December 2006)
The WIX Racing Product Sponsorship is designed to help both distributors
and race teams reach their goals. Participating distributors can sign up
three race teams, sell racing filters to the teams and have the teams
send invoices directly to WIX for a rebate. The distributor gains loyal
customers, while the teams benefit from savings on the best performing
filters on the market. An added benefit for distributors is the brand
awareness built through sponsorship of local race teams that translates
into filter sales to brand loyal race fans.
WIX Box Top Program (January - December 2006)
WIX will continue its Box Top program, popular for many years with
professional technicians and other faithful customers who can turn in
WIX box tops to earn gift certificates to their favorite retailers.
Distributors appreciate this promotion because it builds loyalty at no
cost. A Box Top Program brochure placed at the point-of-sale explains
the program to customers who choose to take advantage.
WIX/FFA Box Top Promotion (January - April 2006)
In 2006, WIX Filters again will support the Future Farmers of America
(FFA) by donating 25 cents for every box top redeemed by an FFA chapter.
WIX provides program brochures that detail the program for jobbers and
FFA chapters, four color in-store posters to help distributors promote
the program, and pre-written press releases FFA chapters can use in
their local communities to publicize the promotion and generate
additional filter purchases and chapter earnings. Also, bonus prizes of
$1,000 are added to the box top earnings for the four chapters that turn
in the most box tops and to the chapter that has the highest increase in
the number of box tops collected compared to the previous year's total.
WIX Apparel and Hat Program (January - December 2006)
