Fitch Upgrades Capital Auto Receivables Asset Trust 2003-3

NEW YORK--Oct. 3, 20051, 2005--Fitch Ratings upgrades the outstanding class B-1 and B-2 certificates of the Capital Auto Receivables Asset Trust 2003-3 transaction as follows:

-- 2003-3 asset-backed B-1 certificates to 'AA+' from 'A';

-- 2003-3 asset-backed B-2 certificates to 'AA+' from 'A'.

The rating upgrade is a result of increased available credit enhancement. The collateral continues to perform within Fitch's expectations and, under the credit enhancement structure, the securities can now withstand stress scenarios consistent with the upgraded ratings and still make full payments to investors in accordance with the terms of the documents. As before, the ratings reflect the quality of General Motors Acceptance Corporation's (GMAC) retail auto loan originations, the strength of its servicing capabilities, the sound financial and legal structure of the transaction, and the strength of the servicing provided by General Motors Acceptance Corporation.

Fitch's rating definitions are available on the agency's public web site, www.fitchratings.com. Published ratings, criteria and methodologies and relevant policies and procedures are also available from this site, at all times. This document will remain on the public site for seven days.
