Nation's Premier Manufacturer of Die Cast & RC Vehicles to Debut Classic Hot Rod Line, Lifesize Scarface Cadillac at the SEMA Show
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., Oct. 27, 2005 -- Jada Toys, manufacturer of the phenomenally successful Dub City line of die-cast collectible and radio control vehicles, introduces their "D-Rods" line of classic Ford hot rods at the 2005 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nev., Nov. 1 to 4. Jada's top-selling Big Time Muscle line of 1960s and '70s muscle cars will also be featured along with the infamous 1963 canary yellow "Scarface" Cadillac, a life-size show stopper, and other suped-up project vehicles.
Through D-Rods Jada has created a way for nostalgic consumers to own a piece of the past and car enthusiasts to realize the restoration and customizing possibilities of these memorable cars. "Jada Toys takes the classics from the 20's, 30's, and 40's and rockets them into the new millennium," said Brand Manager Sandra Leo. "By dubbing out the traditional hot rods by adding custom interiors, stylish engines, and custom flames and graphic paint jobs to rival any show car on the circuit, D-Rods represent a customizer's dream."
Jada's Big Time Muscle, the number one selling adult collector die cast, takes 60s/70s muscle cars, slams the suspension to the ground, throws big rims on it, and tricks them out with modern high performance packages. Jada's line features such classics as the Chevy Camaro, Corvette and Chevelle, Plymouth Barracuda, Ford Mustang and Dodge Charger.
Fans of the cult favorite, "Scarface", will remember the canary yellow Cadillac driven by legendary character Tony Montana (Al Pacino). Jada has modernized and recreated this unforgettable movie car in support of their die cast version. In addition to classic elements such as the yellow paint, tiger interior, and trunk large enough to fit a small car, fans will be in awe of the new "pimped-out" features -- a complete MTX audio system, Pioneer in-dash, flip-up TV screen and 15" LCD flat panel TV.
Founded in 2000 and based in City of Industry, Calif., Jada Toys has undergone explosive growth over the past three years. The privately held firm has recorded a 200 percent average annual revenue growth rate, introduced dynamic and well-received product lines and expanded presence in the world's largest retail and hobby stores including Walmart, Target and KB Toys. Scale sizes run the gamut from 1:6 to 1:64.
The trend setting company recently acquired an exclusive die cast and RC license with Harris Publications (King, Rides, XXL) for the forthcoming DONK, Box, and Bubbles, also debuting at SEMA. Brokered by RIDES' licensing agency Brand Central LLC, this new license originating from the south is high rise vehicles that are usually clunkers, lifted to fit huge wheels and is the newest urban automotive craze.
