Hot Import Nights Announces New Format for 2006 after Record-Setting 2005 Season; 'Night Shift' Combines Day and Night Events, Incorporating More Motorsports Action and More Categories of Car Competition

IRVINE, Calif.--Oct. 2, 20057, 2005--Vision Entertainment, creators of the largest lifestyle custom car festival in the nation - Hot Import Nights and Hot Import Daze - celebrates its record-breaking 2005 season and announces a brand new format focused on street tuning and performance.

The all-new format for select shows, known as Night Shift, combines all the traditional production and entertainment value of Hot Import Nights (HIN) with performance and motorsports elements of this year's Hot Import Daze shows, including drifting, drag racing, stunt bikes, manufacturer test drives and kart racing.

The concept of Night Shift developed from taking the Daze event format and literally "shifting" it to night hours, adding headliner musical talent and bringing in more high-performance motorsports elements than any other show of its kind.

The event format was validated this year in Phoenix nearly doubling the anticipated attendance. The Phoenix show featured Latin hip-hop sensation Pitbull headlining the Mazda Stage, as well as professional drifting exhibitions and a tandem drifting demo with 100-mph performance superkarts from the Bondurant SuperKart School. In addition, Kane One, formerly of Las Vegas Extremes, hosted an exclusive sport bike stunt exhibition and showcase.

All stops of the Night Shift show will feature top drivers from D1, Formula Drift and other major players in the world of drifting, providing top-end exhilarating drift demos and exhibitions. Intermixed with drifting will be a first-of-its-kind stunt bike competition judged by Kane One and other industry experts. Also, to allow increased behind-the-wheel experiences, HIN will deliver go-kart racing where race fans can compete with one another in a high-speed, sweeping course. The 2006 season will host even more manufacturer ride and drives, allowing attendees to get behind the wheel of new factory vehicles. Drivers will be coached by professional drivers as they put their auto-cross skills to the test in new factory rides.

"The Daze festival format was a popular twist for the HIN tour this year and our loyal supporters told us they wanted even more elements that addressed the performance aspect of the scene, including motorsports like drifting, drag racing, stunt bikes, manufacturer test drives and even kart racing," said Michael Munar, Vice President of Marketing, Action Media. "So this year we are going to deliver what they want--more high-performance motorsports action."

The six planned Night Shift shows in San Diego, Austin, New Jersey, Chicago, San Mateo and Arizona will take place in outdoor stadiums, fairgrounds and massive lots from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. These shows will be in addition to 14 HIN shows planned for various markets throughout the United States beginning in February 2006 and ending in September.

The popular HIN car show format will be a major component of Night Shift. However, with more square footage, several new classes of cars will be added, including mustangs, trucks, luxury vehicles, JDM performance vehicles and sport bikes, to name a few of the new competition categories. The 2006 tour will deliver the most diverse collection of vehicles of any car show series.
