Commercial Vehicle Group Announces Agreement With VEC Technology, L.L.C.

NEW ALBANY, Ohio, Oct. 20, 2005 -- Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. ("CVG") , an innovative supplier to the heavy truck, construction, agriculture, recreation and marine industries, today announced a five-year exclusivity agreement with VEC Technology, L.L.C., the developer of a computer-controlled, large part composite molding process. Headquartered in Greenville, PA, VEC Technology is a full service, high technology virtual engineered composites manufacturing business that provides total systems solutions for manufacturing composite needs.

The agreement grants CVG the exclusive right and license to use the VEC process in the production of parts and components for class 6, 7 and 8 heavy duty trucks. The alliance will enable CVG to increase global sales by expanding CVG's product line and available manufacturing technologies. The VEC system is economical and has significant advantages over current processes including environmental advantages and superior finish and durability. CVG expects VEC cells to be in production by early to mid 2006.

This partnership supports the CVG global business strategy for vehicle content growth and innovation and is expected to allow CVG to enter more aggressively into the exterior of truck cabs, as well as to capture market share in recreational & industrial products.
