VIVA LAS VEGAS FOR PRO BIKE BATTLE RIDERS!
Moorpark, Calif. - (October 20, 2005) The riders in the Ringers Gloves Pro
Bike Battle return to action this weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway after almost a month out of action.
There are only two races, including Vegas, left in the 2005 POWERade NHRA
Drag Racing season. Here is the points breakdown in the Battle heading to
Vegas:
1. Andrew Hines - 350
2. Matt Smith - 320
3. Chip Ellis - 295
4. Antron Brown - 285
4. Angelle Sampey - 285
6. GT Tonglet - 280
7. Ryan Schnitz - 270
8. Steve Johnson - 255
9. Mike Berry - 235
10. Craig Treble - 225
11. Matt Guidera - 205
11. Chris Rivas - 205
11. Karen Stoffer - 205
14. Geno Scali - 185
15. Shawn Gann - 105
Since no races have been run and no points were accumulated, there are still
two separate ties in the Pro Bike Battle. U.S. Army teammates Antron Brown
and Reading winner Angelle Sampey are tied for fourth, while there is a
three-way tie for 11th place between Matt Guidera, Chris Rivas and Karen Stoffer.
Riders accumulate points during their 15-race NHRA schedule and the top
eight with the most points will move onto vie for the 2006 Ringers Gloves Pro
Bike Battle champion bragging rights.
