FEV to Exhibit New Products at Novi Expo

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 20, 2005 -- FEV Test Systems will demonstrate a new family of world-class engine-testing software and hardware at the Automotive Testing Expo 2005 Oct. 26-28 in Novi, Mich. (Booth 16020).

The modular FEV TestCellManager(TM) (TCM) family represents a tightly integrated series of control and instrumentation devices that easily adapt to a variety of engine-testing environments worldwide.

Headquartered in Auburn Hills, Mich., FEV Test Systems will display its full line of turnkey, integrated powertrain testing modules.

Recent FEV Test Systems clients include a major North American automobile manufacturer, BorgWarner, Detroit Diesel Corp., Southwest Research Institute and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

"FEV's TCM products represent the best value in the test instrumentation business for sophisticated engine dynamometer testing systems," says Tim Sante, FEV Test Systems vice president of sales and marketing. "FEV has 30 years of experience in testing that we put to work for our customers on day one. We know FEV testing tools work because we use them every day in more than 60 advanced test cells worldwide."

Dr. Thomas Wagner, FEV Test Systems general manager, will present key TCM features, benefits and capabilities at the Testing Expo. Other FEV representatives taking part in addition to Tim Sante and Dr. Wagner include Dr. Norbert Wiehagen, FEV Test Systems product line manager and Jorg Grundner, senior account manager.

The scalable, compact TCM test family is based on uniform, modular software and includes systems hardware selected to meet individual customer test requirements, such as engine mapping and transient test schedules.

Expo attendees will see working demos of the TCM product family as used in a typical powertrain testing environment, including:

   * TestFieldManager (TFM): Administration tool to store and provide
standard names, test objects, protocol and test-generated data
   * TestCellManager (TCM): Real-time control and test management system
   * TestObjectManager (TOM): Universal high-speed controller and
monitoring system for dynamometers and test objects
   * TestEnvironmentManager (TEM): Distributed process system for
controlling coolant, oil, fuel, combustion and air-conditioning
     systems.

At the expo, FEV Test Systems will present DynaCraft, a new line of AC dynamometer drive systems. Test environment control equipment also will be displayed at the expo, including the FEV FuelCon which accurately controls fuel temperature and pressure; the FuelRate which measures fuel consumption for applications including gas, diesel and ethanol/alcohol; and FEV's Combustion Analysis System (CAS). CAS is a high-speed data acquisition system that, in addition to being a full-featured combustion-analysis system, has been extended to offer combustion noise and sound-level monitoring capabilities.

FEV is an independent engine and powertrain systems research, design and development company. The company designs, prototypes and develops advanced gasoline, diesel and alternative-fueled engines, as well as advanced vehicle powertrain concepts, electronic control systems and hybrid-electric vehicles. FEV also is a global supplier of advanced test cell, instrumentation and test equipment.
