Scalable Network Technologies Releases QualNet Software Version 3.9; Release Offers Better 3D Visualization, Licensing Options, New Physical Models
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.--Oct. 1, 20058, 2005--Scalable Network Technologies, Inc. (SNT) today announced the official release of QualNet Version 3.9 at the MILCOM trade show. The latest version of the company's network simulation software has usability improvements as well as new models and licensing options."With today's launch of QualNet 3.9, modelers of military and commercial networks will be able to model a broader range of networking technologies in a more robust simulation environment. There are twelve new models, improved 3D visualization capabilities, and new licensing options," said Rajive Bagrodia, Founder and CEO of SNT. "Whether it's determining the effectiveness of a directional antenna or modeling network centric warfare, we will continue to develop innovative technologies that improve the effectiveness of defense and homeland security forces."
QualNet Developer 3.9 includes two new military radio models (Link-11 and Link-16), IPSec for network security, and two new antenna models (NSMA and OPEN ASCI). Distribution of Link-11 and Link-16 models is restricted to members of NATO. The new licensing options are physical license keys and QualNet Flex. The physical license keys, or dongles, offer better management of the license, especially in classified work environments. QualNet Flex enables users to convert QualNet for a single processor to a parallel processor version, and vice versa. With a new packet tracing tool and protocol models for ATM and MAODV, QualNet Developer is a comprehensive network simulation and analysis product.
