Team 7-Eleven's Kanaan to Start 10th at California
Speedway
FONTANA, Calif. (Oct. 15, 2005) - Team 7-Eleven driver Tony Kanaan recorded a lap of
217.170 miles per hour (33.1537 seconds) during qualifying at the 2-mile California Speedway and will
start from the fifth position for Sunday's running of the Indy Racing LeagueŽ IndyCarŽ Series California
Indy 400.
The final event of the 2005 IndyCar Series season is set to go green at 3:45 p.m. (EDT) Sunday
with ESPN providing broadcast coverage of the 200-lap event beginning at 3:30 p.m. (EDT).
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"We really struggle in qualifying as a team. But, we are all on different setups, that's why you see
all of us quick at different times. If you look at our qualifying setups, they are all different. Nothing is
similar. We know that Team 7-Eleven has a good race car, so we're not too worried."
