Schumacher Settles Lawsuit with Vector; Customers Unaffected
Schumacher Electric announces the settlement of the patent infringement
lawsuit with Vector Products. "It's business as usual for us," said Don
Schumacher, President and CEO of Schumacher Electric Corporation.
Notably, Schumacher Electric Corporation made no admission of liability
as a result of the settlement. Likewise, the settlement precluded any
legal ruling on the patent's validity against Schumacher. Accordingly,
Schumacher customers are unaffected by the litigation and may continue
selling all Schumacher high-frequency battery chargers.
For over 58 years, Schumacher Electric Corporation has been recognized
as the leader in battery charger technology. Aside from settling the
Vector lawsuit favorably, Schumacher Electric Corporation also announces
the introduction of its patent-pending innovative SpeedCharge(tm)
battery charger with Engine Start plus Alternator Test capabilities.
This new innovative electronic SpeedCharge(tm) technology surpasses the
charging and engine starting capability of virtually any Vector High
Frequency charger on the market today.
