Carrier Boyz Racing announces crew chief change

ENNIS, Texas (October 9, 2005) - Andy and Mark Carrier, owners of
Carrier Boyz Racing, announced today that Todd Smith, who assumed the
duties of crew chief at the 2004 spring Las Vegas race, have mutually
agreed to severe their business relationship.

Speaking for Carrier Boyz Racing, Andy Carrier said, "Carrier Boyz
Racing and Todd Smith have mutually agreed to a separation of their
business relationship effective immediately. We wish Todd Smith the
best in any and all endeavors. Since joining Carrier Boyz Racing he has
led our team with class and professionalism. Carrier Boyz Racing will
immediately begin to build our program for the 2006 season and look
forward to the challenge of a new season."

Cory McClenathan, who drives the Carrier Boyz Racing-owned FRAM AirHog
dragster, added the following comments, "Over the course of my career
I've seen this happen numerous times. Most of the time it's in the best
interest of the parties involved that the each go in a different
direction. Such is the case for Carrier Boyz Racing and Todd Smith.
While it seems unfortunate, both parties must move forward. It wasn't
an easy decision for anybody but I'm sure that Andy and Mark Carrier and
Todd Smith feel it's what's best as of this point in time.

"I've known Todd for a long time and know that he will land on his feet
and will offer much to whatever team he joins. Carrier Boyz Racing will
carry on and hopefully the change will make this team stronger. It
happened and now we both must move on. This is a results oriented
business. The bottom line is the nature of the business.

"We'll keep everyone informed of our plans as they unfold and as the
situation warrants."
