showdown
Jimmy Sloan, 24, Palm Desert, Calif. is pumped up for the final
points race of the season—a double points race at Irwindale
Speedway this Saturday.
Super Stock driver Sloan is the current points leader for the
division and will enter the race as the winningest driver in his
division for the year.
“We have had such a great season, I really can’t ask for any more,”
Sloan said. “I am so proud of my team and what we have
accomplished this year, anything more is gravy.”
Sloan is currently 18 points ahead of Robin Bourgeois. In order to
win the championship he must finish no more than four places behind
Bourgeois.
“The competition is tough,” Sloan said. ‘I have a great team and
we will give it our best.”
This is Sloan’s second season racing the Ruark Racing super stock.
Next season he plans to race the Ruark Racing late model as a
rookie.
