In the spirit of partnerships and community giving, Overland Park, Kan.-based Sprint Nextel Corp. and Yellow Transportation have teamed up to present this Saturday's NASCAR Busch Series event, the United Way 300 at Kansas Speedway. Sprint is the largest private employer in the Kansas City area and the largest corporate donor to the United Way. "The timing is perfect as the United Way 300 coincides with United Way's national giving campaign," said Michael Robichaud, vice president, sports marketing, Sprint. "We're thrilled to partner with Yellow Transportation to present this race." Yellow Transportation also has placed the Sprint logo on the No. 1 car driven by Johnny Sauter to commemorate the partnership.

Nextel Fan Zone
*      Sprint Fan Walk

As part of Sprint Nextel's commitment to improving the fan experience, Sprint has joined Kansas Speedway to provide the Sprint Fan Walk in the Kansas Speedway infield. Located between the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series and NASCAR Busch Series garages, the Sprint Fan Walk gives spectators a view of the intricacies of a working garage on race day. The area includes a stage for radio and television broadcasts, a viewing area of technical inspection and autograph alley, where a slot in the fence allows fans to pass items in the garage area for autographs. Throughout the race weekend, fans are privy to driver question-and-answer sessions, the Richard Petty Driving Experience Tire Changing Challenge and opportunities to have their photo take inside Victory Lane.

Activities begin at 8 a.m. each day. Anyone with a grandstand or infield admission ticket may purchase a ticket to the Sprint Fan Walk, which is limited to 3,000 guests per day.
