SBORO WRAPS UP NORTHEAST FOCUS TITLE; ANDERSEN LANDS ANOTHER SEEKONK VICTORY

		

INDIANAPOLIS – Michael Sboro of Watertown, N.Y. on Sunday wrapped up the
season-long chase for the inaugural USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget Car
Series championship, finishing sixth in the season finale “D. Anthony
Venditti Memorial” at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Mass.

The race went to Brit Andersen of Branford, Conn., who led all 25 laps in
the Citric Systems Beast. He beat Dana Messier, Jeff Abold, Aaron Wall and
Nick Wean for his third victory in Northeast competition – all of which came
at the 1/3-mile paved track.

Sboro, who finished sixth, never finished outside the Top 10 in the 10 races
contested and held a 28-point lead over Abold in the final standings.
Trailing in the points chase were Wean, Stephanie Stevens and Messier.
