Featured on 2006 Cadillac DTS and Buick Lucerne: HotShot!

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, SEPTEMBER 28, 2005 - The aftermarket helped revolutionize windshield cleaning and de-icing by being the first to offer drivers HotShot, the hot washer fluid and windshield de-icing system. The award-winning system, manufactured by Microheat, Inc., has been available in the aftermarket for over a year and is now being featured in GM Showrooms on the 2006 Cadillac DTS and Buick Lucerne.

Thanks to HotShot, drivers no longer have to scrape ice and grime from their cars, a problem that has haunted drivers since the invention of wiper blades 75 years ago. Market research shows that within 10 years, HotShot will be a standard feature on all new vehicles.

"The aftermarket, through our worldwide agreement with Webasto, was on the cutting edge by making HotShot available to drivers everywhere," said Microheat President and CEO Gary Pilibosian. "Now, General Motors is the first OEM to offer HotShot to drivers as a standard feature and we expect the response from consumers will be overwhelming."

The acclaimed HotShot has been the recipient of numerous awards including: Frost & Sullivan Excellence in Emerging Technologies 2005; Popular Mechanics deemed it the "Outstanding Achievement in New Product Design and Innovation." In June 2004, Newport Publications, publishers of leading trucking industry publications, honored Microheat with its Heavy Duty Trucking "Nifty Fifty" designation, as well its "Terrific Twenty" award for Truck Sales and Leasing magazine. And RoadStar magazine selected HotShot as "MVP" (most valuable product) of the Year 2004.

Introduced commercially in 2002, HotShot features a patented cycling technology that intelligently heats fluid to an exact temperature and sprays the fluid at a precise time interval to quickly and efficiently remove snow, ice, bugs and road grime from vehicles. The all-season, all-weather system can be activated at any time during vehicle operation.

Microheat, Inc. is a Farmington Hills, Michigan-based, privately-held company fully focused on the design, manufacture, production and sale of its advanced fluid heating system products and related components for integration into washer/wiper system modules of cars and trucks.
