Seattle's First Mercedes-Benz Dealership Opens a Second Location
LYNNWOOD, Wash., Sept. -- Phil Smart Jr. opens a new satellite dealership, Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood, on October 1, 2005. Smart is investing in the one of the fastest growing communities just north of Seattle.
"I went to school in Lynnwood," said Phil Smart Jr. "And, Mercedes-Benz has been part of my family for nearly as long as I can remember, so I'm excited to be able to bring the three pointed star to a market that I grew up in."
Bob Neis, regional general manager for Mercedes-Benz USA's San Francisco region which includes ten western states including Washington said, "The Smart family has brought great passion and dedication to the Mercedes-Benz brand. As one of our most established dealerships, Phil Smart Jr. is expanding in not only one of the fastest growing communities, but also one where he grew up, so his entrepreneurial spirit is reinforced by the heart."
Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood complements the already established and well respected Phil Smart, Inc. dealership in downtown Seattle. One of the most established Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the country, Phil Smart Sr. opened the original dealership in 1959, and has since expanded to include secondary service location near Safeco Field.
"While the downtown dealership conveniently accommodates the growing urban populace living and working in the city of Seattle," added Neis, "We want to make sure that Mercedes-Benz continues to be accessible and convenient for the communities just outside the city limits, especially with so many new models on the horizon."
The facility will be open for business on October 1, 2005, with a Grand Opening celebration is scheduled for later this year.
Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood joins an already strong Washington State Mercedes-Benz dealer base. In addition the Phil Smart, Inc. locations, there's Hahn Motor Company in Yakima, McCurley Imports in Pasco, Wilson Motors in Bellingham, and Mercedes-Benz of Spokane, Bellevue, and Tacoma.
