Ford Hosts First Hybrid Fuel Economy Clinic

WHAT: Ford Motor Company hosts the first-ever Hybrid Fuel Economy xperience -- an educational driving clinic for Ford Escape Hybrid owners to earn more about their vehicles from the experts who built and designed them.

WHEN: Saturday, October 8 - 9:10 a.m.

WHERE: Ford Research and Innovation Center (formerly The Ford Scientific esearch Laboratory) - 2101 Village Road, Dearborn, MI

SUMMARY: Ford has invited Escape Hybrid owners from across the country to participate in a three-hour clinic for a unique opportunity to meet with Ford engineers to learn about Ford innovation and hybrid technology, fuel-efficient driving techniques and the chance to put their knowledge to the test on a driving course.

The clinic will include a visual inspection of the customer's vehicle, interviews, discussion and a drive -- all with a Ford fuel economy engineer; plus a classroom presentation to learn tips on optimizing hybrid fuel economy. Customers also will get a chance to provide input for future Ford hybrid designs.

Media are invited to test out these fuel economy tips in new Mercury Mariner Hybrid or Ford Escape Hybrid vehicles.
