Toyota adds IS luxury sedan to Lexus lineup in Japan

TOKYO September 29, 2005; Japan Today reported that Toyota Motor Corp on Wednesday began selling the IS luxury sedan at its Lexus showrooms across the nation, completing the planned three-car lineup for the initial phase of the luxury-car business it started in Japan in late August.

The showroom debut of the IS model follows those of the GS and SC models which were made available at the time of the official opening of the Lexus showrooms on Aug 30.
