PRIMEDIA Continues West Coast Auto Guide Rollout with Launch of Inland Empire Auto Guide; Auto Guide Launches Third California-based Publication

NEW YORK--Sept. 28, 2005--PRIMEDIA Consumer Guides, the country's leading publisher and distributor of apartment, new home and auto guides, today announced the launch of Inland Empire Auto Guide, a free, weekly color publication for consumers featuring comprehensive listings of used cars, SUVs and trucks for sale by auto dealerships throughout San Bernardino and Riverside counties. The third Auto Guide to launch in California in four months, Inland Empire Auto Guide joins the Orange County Auto Guide and San Diego Auto Guide in serving the Southern California region, the nation's largest automotive market.

Auto Guide's continued expansion into areas with the greatest demand for automobiles is driven by PRIMEDIA's proven operating experience in the consumer guides business, its financial strength and the reach of its distribution arm, DistribuTech. With the launch in Inland Empire, one of the nation's strongest auto sales regions, PRIMEDIA continues penetrating high growth areas and expanding its national footprint for its Auto Guide business. According to the National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA), California's franchised new-car dealers sold more than 1 million used vehicles in 2004, with all used vehicle sales for franchised dealers totaling $19.1 billion. Representing approximately 20 percent of total dealership sales, used car sales are critical to the success of franchised dealerships.
