Jaguar and Land Rover Launch OEConnection's D2DLink(R) in Canada for Improved Parts Efficiencies

RICHFIELD, Ohio, Sept. 28 -- OEConnection, a leader in ecommerce procurement and analysis solutions for the automotive original equipment replacement parts business, announced today an agreement with Jaguar and Land Rover Canada to extend the use of OEConnection's D2DLink ecommerce parts procurement tool to its Canadian dealerships. This agreement marks OEConnection's first international introduction.

Jaguar and Land Rover will launch D2DLink for their 47 Canadian dealerships in October. This implementation represents the second successful collaboration between OEConnection and the automakers following the 2003 introduction of D2DLink to 300 U.S. Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships.

Ross Davidson, Parts Operations Manager for Jaguar and Land Rover commented, "D2DLink and its virtual parts warehouse capabilities have been a tremendous success for our U.S. dealerships. Dealer fill rates have increased and our overall service response has markedly improved, especially in the area of backordered parts. We're looking forward to the same, if not better, customer satisfaction benefits for our more geographically-dispersed Canadian dealerships."

Added Ted Fellowes, OEConnection Vice President, Supply Chain Solutions, "We're very excited that Jaguar and Land Rover have elected to introduce D2DLink to their Canadian dealerships. Their confidence in our products and services, and that of their dealers, is deeply gratifying as we expand our geographic reach to include all of North America."

The Canadian D2DLink implementation is part of the Jaguar and Land Rover North American plan to provide system commonality between the U.S. and Canada. This initiative provides all their North American dealers the same benefits of streamlined parts procurement, access to daily-updated parts inventories, and the convenience of ordering parts online for more productive operations. In addition, D2DLink's enhanced in-channel parts visibility enables dealer to dealer sourcing of even backordered parts for improved service response and increased customer satisfaction.

Jaguar and Land Rover Canada join the growing list of automakers to embrace the parts marketing and fulfillment advantages of D2DLink. Relied on by nearly 12,000 subscribers spanning Ford, General Motors, Jaguar U.S., Land Rover U.S., Isuzu, Nissan, and Suzuki franchises, D2DLink recently celebrated landmark usage with subscribers posting over 3 million parts inquiries in one month's time.
