FIFTH ANNUAL NHRA AMERIQUEST MORTGAGE NATIONALS
ROUTE 66 RACEWAY - JOLIET, ILL.
SEPTEMBER 29-OCTOBER 2, 2005

Rainout causes McClenathan to think about Bud points

JOLIET, Ill. (September 27, 2005) - After Hurricane Rita forced the
Dallas race to be postponed, Cory McClenathan and the Carrier Boyz
Racing team now head to the Chicago area for the fifth running of the
NHRA Ameriquest Mortgage Nationals at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill.,
this weekend (Sept. 29-Oct. 2), before returning to Dallas to make up
the rainout.

Since there still remain two races (Chicago and Dallas) to qualify for
the Budweiser Shootout, McClenathan, who drives the Carrier Boyz Racing
FRAM AirHog Top Fuel dragster, is trying to collect every Budweiser
Shootout point he can at those two races.

Only the top seven point earners are guaranteed a spot in the eight-car
field for the Budweiser Shootout, a special event held during the NHRA
ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The eighth position will be determined by a lottery-style drawing from
the eighth through 15th qualifiers.

Currently, McClenathan is seventh, five points behind David Grubnic in
sixth and 10 points ahead of Scott Kalitta in eighth.

"The rain delay just gives you more time to think about Bud points,"
said McClenathan. Our goal will be to qualify high, hopefully in the
top three. No matter where we qualify it must be in front of Grubnic
and Scott. As long as we do that we'll be in good shape come time for
the shootout pairings. There is no way to feel like you've got it locked
up until we've finished the next two races and we're seventh or higher."

QUALIFYING: Qualifying gets underway for the fifth annual Ameriquest
Mortgage Nationals for McClenathan and the Carrier Boyz Racing FRAM
AirHog Dragster with two nitro fuel sessions on Friday, scheduled for 4
and 7 p.m. Nitro fuel qualifying concludes with two additional sessions
on Saturday, at 1 and 4 p.m. McClenathan begins his quest for the Top
Fuel title on Sunday with eliminations for all classes getting underway
