SDE Launches Supplier Diversity Program to Benefit Minority Business Enterprises

DETROIT, Sept. 27 -- SDE Business Partnering, a service firm specializing in Program Management and Vendor Managed Services has recently been awarded a contract by international consulting firm, A.T. Kearney (ATK), to develop and administer their supplier diversity program established to promote minority-spend opportunities with its customers.

The program will initiate with supplying to the Chrysler Group and will be aimed at building relationships with qualified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs). The intent is to promote spending opportunities with MBEs whose operations exemplify industry leadership and best practices.

While all suppliers are considered for participation, additional emphasis will be made in the area of recruiting and retention of MBEs. For consideration, MBE suppliers or contractors must be certified with the Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC) or the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).
