TriMas Corporation's Cequent Group Receives the 2005 Henry Ford Technology Award

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., Sept. 27 -- TriMas Corporation today announced that Cequent Electrical Products, Inc., part of the Cequent operational unit of TriMas, received the prestigious Henry Ford Technology Award for the Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (ITBC) at the annual recognition event held last evening. The Henry Ford Technology Award Program was established in 1981 by Ford Motor Company to provide greater attention to and recognition of exceptional technical contributions.

"The commitment, dedication, and hard work in developing the ITBC by the Cequent team have made us very proud, especially after receiving this special recognition by our customer."

The Integrated Brake Controller was one of 75 nominations submitted this year and there are only five product development technologies selected per year, including all of Ford Motor Company's worldwide business.
