USAC Release #293 - MARTZ TAKES PENULTIMATE MIDWEST FOCUS EVENT AT LAKEVILLE

INDIANAPOLIS – Tate Martz of Rushville, Ind. on Saturday took another step
toward a repeat Midwest Ford Focus Midget Car Series championship when he
won a 30-lap feature at Lakeville Speedway in Lakeville, Ohio, stretching an
already insurmountable lead over his closest competitors.

Martz, who went into the event 156 points ahead of Stephanie Mockler, is now
over 200 points ahead of Mockler. He piloted the No. 1 Lafayette Emergency
Medicine Physicians Beast on the point from green to checkered at Lakeville,
besting Jimmy Light, Kyle Robbins and Nick and Luke Daugherty. It was his
seventh feature win of the season and 16th of his career, retying Chase
Scott for first on the all-time Ford Focus feature win list.

Only one race remains on the Midwest schedule – a two-day show Oct. 8-9 at
the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway.
