TRW Automotive Facility Earns IndustryWeek '10 Best Plants' Award
LIVONIA, Mich., Sept. 21 -- TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. announced that its Mexican Seatbelt Operations has earned a place on IndustryWeek's prestigious list of 10 best plants in North America for 2005, the business magazine announced today.

According to the IndustryWeek website, the 10 best plants are world-class facilities that have made credible changes in the way they run their operations, aligning production processes with customer needs and harnessing people's desire to make things better.
TRW's Mexican Seatbelt Operations -- part of the Company's Occupant Safety Systems group -- include two manufacturing plants that are 11 miles apart in the Reynosa Industrial Parque and the Del Norte Industrial Parque. Both facilities produce automotive seatbelt systems and are run by one management team. Nearly 3,000 employees manufacture and ship more than 1 million units each week throughout the world.
Mexican Seatbelt Operations boasts:
* Impressive safety metrics - 13,259,271 consecutive hours (37 months without a lost time accident at Reynosa and 5,045,659 hours (24 months) without a lost time accident at Del Norte;
* A five parts per million (ppm) quality level;
* Employee work groups, called High Performance Teams, unparalleled in the industry; and
* An internal scrap rate of only .14 percent of sales
