North L.A. County Transportation Forum Scheduled for October 21
SANTA CLARITA, Calif.--Sept. 21, 2005--Transportation issues and opportunities in northern Los Angeles County will be addressed at the North Los Angeles County Transportation Forum, an annual luncheon program to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, October 21, at the Hyatt Valencia. The Forum is presented by the Golden State Gateway Coalition in cooperation with the Automobile Club of Southern California, the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Valley Industrial Association of Santa Clarita and the Santa Clarita Valley Transportation Alliance.Lunch will be followed by brief presentations and a leadership dialogue to explore transportation and mobility issues in the fastest-growing region in Los Angeles County.
To date, confirmed participants include Tom DiPrima, Coalition Chairman and President of the L.A./Ventura Division of KB Home; L.A. County Supervisor Michael Antonovich; California State Senator George Runner; Caltrans District 7 Director, Doug Failing; Transportation California's Mike Lawson; and Transit Coalition Director, Bart Reed. Dan Beal, Managing Director, Public Policy, Automobile Club of Southern California, will serve as the event moderator.
