Race Champion Mark Thomas to Display Car at Russell Senate Office Building
The National Corn Growers Association and the Renewable Fuels Association announce that Mark Thomas, 5-time International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Funny Car champion, will bring his ethanol-powered drag car to Capitol Hill Wednesday, September 21, 2005 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Members of Congress and ethanol supporters will join Thomas to discuss implementation of the 7.5-billion-gallon renewable fuels standard and the role ethanol plays in our nation's future energy policies. Congressional members and staff have been invited to meet Thomas and see his champion race car.
