Takeuchi MFG (US), Ltd. Successfully Completes the Rollout of 4CS iWarranty
EAST MOLINE, Ill., Sept. 16 -- 4CS, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent warranty software applications, today announced that its iWarranty software has been fully implemented at Takeuchi MFG (US), Ltd. Phil Cunningham, Vice President of 4CS, said that Takeuchi selected iWarranty software in early 2005 to help manage warranty processes, continuing to improve dealer/customer satisfaction and product quality while reducing warranty costs.
Takeuchi U.S. has been serving the U.S. construction and equipment rental industries for 25 years. They were the first construction equipment company to introduce compact excavators and track loaders to the U.S. market place. For more information, visit http://www.takeuchi-us.com/ .
Jeff Stewart, Vice President, Takeuchi MFG (US), Ltd., recently completed a tour of his independent dealer ownership principals and he shared: "Our dealers love having access to the repair history of our products. They like the fact that iWarranty has enabled them to get their claims paid in 8 days instead of 36. This was due to the fact that iWarranty prompted their claim submitters for the correct information before claim submittal was allowed; it prompted them for complaint, cause and corrective action information and enabled them to attached digital pictures of the failure. Hence it allowed them to get the claim approved the first time through and it meant they did not have the hassle and cost of packing up the failed component and shipping it."
"This is a real marketing advantage as iWarranty is seen by our dealers as making Takeuchi easier to do business with and therefore they will emphasize Takeuchi products over some of their other competitive product lines," commented Jeff.
Mr. Stewart went on to say: "I want to drastically reduce failed parts return to avoid this unnecessary cost (some OEMs claim this varies from $90 to $500 per returned part) and am expecting 80 to 90% of claims submitted will have digital pictures of the failures."
"I originally selected 4CS' iWarranty software to gain the benefits offered by a fully integrated and automated warranty system accessible via the web by our dealers. The strong commercial functionality and overall ownership costs (easier to maintain by ourselves) of the software and the easy working relationship with 4CS Warranty professionals are reasons we pursued 4CS and iWarranty. I knew I made the right decision upon completion when one of my veteran Field Representatives whose favorite tool might not be the computer, shared that iWarranty enabled him to have total control and awareness of warranty claims at his dealers. He particularly like the fact that he could access his dealers draft claims and assist them as needed."
"4CS delivered the commercial expertise that I expected. I even delegated some of my decision making on business rules and process to the 4CS Business Analyst. I never had to revoke any of the decisions she made. They know the warranty business!"
Jeff also shared that he has implemented four software programs in recent years. He noted: "4CS rated #1 in overall. I get rated by my management on meeting budget, meeting implementation date and delivering the promised functionality. 4CS did the best of all four providers on all three of these objectives and I intend to provide them more opportunities as a result."
Ashok Kartham, President of 4CS, noted: "We are happy that Takeuchi was able to implement the iWarranty solution in the planned time frame and is earning return on the software investment within 6 months. Takeuchi has implemented iWarranty on the Microsoft Technology platform using a Windows 2000 Server and MS SQL Server."
"Customers keep telling us iWarranty's strength is its integration, flexibility and completeness of functionality and that our implementation teams know the warranty business," according to Gene Weber, Business Relationship Manager. "Gary Hameister, Implementation Project Manager; Elaine Lombardi, Business Analyst and their talented implementation team listen so well to OEMs, dealers and suppliers -- they deliver. iWarranty's flexibility is illustrated by proactive manufacturers' ability to rapidly change warranty policies and to integrate new partners within days."
