Rush Enterprises Announces the Acquisition of a GMC and Isuzu Medium-Duty Dealership in Texarkana, Texas; Introduces Peterbilt Product Line in Texarkana

SAN ANTONIO--Sept. 15, 2005--Rush Enterprises, Inc. (Listed on NASDAQ: RUSHA & RUSHB), which operates the largest network of heavy-duty and medium-duty truck dealerships in North America and a John Deere construction equipment dealership in Houston, Texas, today announced that it has acquired certain assets of Barrett Trucks, LLC., a GMC and Isuzu medium-duty truck dealership in Texarkana, Texas. As Texarkana is in Rush's existing Peterbilt area of responsibility, Rush has added a full-line of Peterbilt heavy and medium-duty trucks to the new dealership and is operating the facility as a full-service Rush Truck Center offering heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks, parts, and service. The purchase price for this acquisition was approximately $725,000 which was paid in cash.
