Lobbying in the EU: "How to represent and defend your
interests in Brussels"
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I hope you are well. I am writing to you as a final reminder of the Lobbying in the EU: "How to represent and defend your interests in Brussels" workshop which will be held on the 26th of September at the Cercle Royal Gaulois Artistique et Littéraire Asbl (http://www.cerclegaulois.be/) in Brussels.
This 1 day workshop, organised in partnership with Grayling Political Strategy, has been specifically designed to cater for individuals who are not always able to take extended periods away from the office, but who still require, whether on behalf of their organisations or personally, a relevant and timely forum where the way Europe works and the key methods to ensure your voice is heard are explained in a concise and accessible manner.
This workshop is based around 4 core elements: the EU institutional landscape, the relations between these institutions, the decision-making processes and the ways to work and influence the system. In support of these themes will be a provocative and stimulating review of the current state of EU politics, an interactive lobbying simulation session using case studies as suggested by delegates and our guest speaker, Mr. Alessandro Cagli who worked previously for 10 years at the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU and who carries an in-depth knowledge of The Council.
The result will be a rounded, well-informed appreciation of how the EU works, how it will likely develop given the current political landscape, and where your role as stakeholder fits within the decision making process. Crucially, you will come away understanding how best to promote your cause and position - something with a real and tangible value. Comprehensive delegate packs, lunch and refreshments will also be provided as part of the delegate fee.
Your workshop facilitator is Mr. Russell Patten, Chief Executive of Grayling Political Strategy.
The course has been tailored to meet the needs of those representing corporate and NGO interests within Brussels, those with an interest in the European political climate, and is an opportunity to either top-up or develop your existing knowledge. Our competitive pricing strategy reflects our commitment to the dissemination of affordable, high-quality information to EU companies and organisations.
