Visteon Facilities Expected to be Transferred to Ford
September 13, 2005; Ford Motor Co. will take unprofitable plants back from parts maker Visteon Corp. under definitive agreements announced Tuesday. The transfer of 17 plants and six offices, research centers and other facilities in the U.S. and Mexico to Ford, Visteon's former parent, is expected to take place on Oct. 1, the companies said in a statement.
The AP today published a list of Visteon Corp. plants and other facilities expected to be transferred by Oct. 1 to Automotive Components Holdings LLC, a temporary entity to be managed by Ford Motor Co.
