Power Stop, LLC Acquires the Power Stop and Other Business Assets From Universal Automotive Industries

ALSIP, Ill., Sept. 13 -- Power Stop, LLC, a newly-formed limited liability corporation located in Bedford Park, Illinois, announced today that they have purchased substantially all the business assets related to the Power Stop(R) brand of performance brake products. The Power Stop brand of performance brake parts is nationally recognized for its superior engineering and performance by race car enthusiasts and drivers seeking increased braking performance under severe driving conditions. Power Stop brake products were first introduced in 1996 by Autospecialty, a Southern California auto parts manufacture and supplier.

Bill Stock, Power Stop's CEO, said, "We are extremely proud to be the new owners of the Power Stop brand, and Evolution ceramic formula. We now have a complete inventory of slotted or cross-drilled rotors, and high performance metallic and ceramic friction. My goal as the CEO and Chief Engineer of Power Stop LLC is to give our customers the highest quality products, and to develop new products that assure the very best performance for severe duty applications. One of the first product improvements will result from the new CNC machining centers that we are testing to improve the precision drilling and slotting processes for Power Stop rotors."
