2-Track Global Technology Used to Smash Criminal Car Theft Ring in Nigeria
NEW YORK--Sept. 12, 2005--2-Track Global Inc. today announced that its vehicle tracking technology ("Condor FMS") was instrumental in smashing a car theft ring that has not only led to the return of the stolen vehicle but also to the capture of the criminal mastermind behind the operation.The 2-Track tracking device was installed on an Abuja Leasing Company Limited vehicle through a satellite tracking and positioning system monitored by Traktag Limited of Nigeria. Traktag Limited have an exclusive arrangement to distribute 2-Track vehicle tracking technology in Nigeria. Following the reported theft of the vehicle, it was tracked and kept under constant surveillance via satellite with reports relayed to the base station to detect any movement or positional changes.
Working in conjunction with the officer in charge of the anti-robbery division, of the Sokoto Police Force and Traktag, vital information was continually relayed to the Police authorities. This led to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and the capture of the mastermind behind the vehicle theft ring.
