FLOCK'S WESTERN MIDGET LEAD SLICED TO 55 "GERHARDT" MIDGET "99" TO MICHAEL LEWIS

SEPTEMBER 12, 2005

Robby Flock's USAC Western Midget point lead has been sliced
to just 55 points going into a Sept. 24 race at San Bernardino, Calif.'s
Orange Show Speedway.

Flock finished 27th in Sunday's "Fred Gerhardt Open Wheel
Classic" at Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway, while points runner-up Jerome
Rodela finished fourth.

Michael Lewis of Noblesville, Ind. led wire-to-wire Sunday to
win the Stockton race, which was halted after 99 laps due to a multi-car
tangle. Lewis piloted the Western Speed Racing CMXtreme.com/Wirtgen America
Gerhardt/Esslinger and was followed in the finish by Brian Gard, Bobby
Santos III, Jerome Rodela and Ben Petter.
