Franchitti to Start 13th in ArcaEx Car at Chicagoland
JOLIET, Ill. (Sept. 10, 2005) - Dario Franchitti recorded a lap of 215.067 miles per hour
(25.4432 seconds) in the #27 ArcaEx Dallara/Honda/Firestone during qualifying at the 1.5-mile
Chicagoland Speedway and will start from the 13th position for Sunday's running of the Indy Racing
LeagueŽ IndyCarŽ Series Peak Antifreeze Indy 300.
The 15th event of the 2005 IndyCar Series season is set to go green at 1:45 p.m. (EDT) Sunday
with ABC providing live broadcast coverage of the 200-lap event beginning at 1:30 p.m. (EDT).
Dario Franchitti, #27 ArcaEx Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"It's just so frustrating to qualify at these types of tracks, because as a driver, you just put your
foot down and see what you've got. We lost 1.7 miles per hour between the last practice session and
our qualifying run and that time was posted when we were the only car on the track, so we weren't in a
draft. It's just frustrating because I don't know where that speed went. Hopefully the race will be better."
