WHELDON TO START SIXTH IN KLEIN TOOLS/JIM BEAM CAR
AT CHICAGOLAND
JOLIET, Ill. (Sept. 10, 2005) - Klein Tools/Jim Beam driver Dan Wheldon will start sixth in
Sunday's running of the Peak Antifreeze Indy 300 at Chicagoland Speedway. Wheldon posted a best-lap
speed of 215.484 miles per hour (25.3940 seconds) on his second qualifying lap for the 200-lap event.
The 15th race on the IndyCar Series schedule goes green at 1:45 p.m. (EDT) with ABC Sports
providing live coverage beginning at 1:30 p.m. (EDT).
Dan Wheldon, #26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
"We didn't get everything we wanted out of our qualifying run. The Klein Tools/Jim Beam car
definitely had a little bit too much understeer and that cost us. It's so competitive out here that you've got
to gamble a little bit. But, we have a relatively good race car so hopefully we'll get a good result."
