Toyota to increase production capacity in France

TOKYO September 8, 2005; Japan Today reported that Toyota Motor Corp said Wednesday it will increase the production in France of the Yaris compact vehicle from early next year in response to rising demand.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing France S.A.S. will increase the maximum capacity of its plant in Valenciennes from the current 240,000 units per year to 270,000 units. The Yaris is sold in Japan as the Vitz.
