Chad Hord Records a Victory in CORR Series

GARDENA, Calif.--Sept. 6, 2005--Nissan driver Chad Hord expanded his lead in the Pro-Lite division of the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) series, with a first place finish in round 11 at the Crandon International Off-Road Raceway, Crandon, Wis. The victory marked Hord's third consecutive victory at Crandon dating back to a first place sweep in rounds five and six. Round 12 was equally impressive for Nissan with drivers Art Schmitt and Mark Krueger each earning a podium finish with a second and third place finish respectively. Nissan is tied for first in the Pro-Lite Manufacturer Championship with 194 points with two races remaining.

In addition, the CORR Titan truck made its racing debut this past weekend in Crandon, competing in four races. In the Titan's first race, driven by Nissan driver Schmitt, it finished eighth in the Pro-2 division. The Titan also took fifth place in the Pro-4 division race with Carl Renezeder behind the wheel.

"This was a very special race weekend for Nissan trucks, with the NISMO Frontier taking first, second and third and the impressive debut of the CORR Titan," said Ron Stukenberg, senior manager, Nissan Motorsports marketing and operations. "The CORR Titan far exceeded our expectations with its remarkable power, and has great potential to compete in the Pro-2 division."

In Round 12, Hord got tangled up with another truck, dropping him back in the field. He finished the race in tenth place, but increased his overall lead to 159-153. Schmitt is in sixth place overall with 123 points.

Rounds 11 and 12 will be broadcast on SPEED TV on October 28 (Round 11) and November 5 (Round 12). The final two points races, Rounds 13 and 14, of the CORR Lucas Oil Series will be held at the Otay Ranch Off-Road Raceway in Chula Vista, Calif., September 24-25. This will be followed by an invitational "Shoot-Out" on October 1-2. Details can be found at www.corracing.com
