Bryan Herta on the Peak Antifreeze Indy 300:
"We're very happy that we got to test with the XM Satellite Radio car in Chicago last week. It was a
good opportunity because the small changes you make to the car make such a big difference at a track like
Chicago. It's a very important race for us because so many of our sponsors are based in Chicago, plus we're
running out of chances to score points. It's unique because the track is very open and there are at least
three grooves you can drive."
Bryan Herta Facts
Herta is in eighth place in the IndyCar Series points championship. He is 11 points out of seventh
place and 28 points from the fifth spot.
This will be Herta's third start at Chicagoland. His best finish came in 2004 when he finished second.
At the Firestone Indy 400 at Michigan International Speedway (July 31), Herta started on the pole, led
159 of 200 laps and earned his second career IndyCar Series win.
Herta is one of only 22 drivers to win two or more races in IndyCar Series history.
Herta recorded a third-place finish at the 2005 Indianapolis 500, his best finish at the famed track.
Since his first IndyCar Series race in 2003, Herta is tied with the fifth-most top-10 results among all
IndyCar Series drivers and has the fifth-most top-five finishes.
Herta is one of three drivers in 2005 to claim three pole positions. He took his first pole at Phoenix, the
second at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and the third at Michigan.
Herta has four career major open-wheel racing wins and 10 poles.
Herta's first IndyCar Series victory came at Kansas Speedway in 2003.
For each race Herta wins during the 2005 season one fan will win $10,000 courtesy of XM Satellite
Radio's Fast Cash promotion.

George Klotz, Team Manager,
#7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone on the Peak Antifreeze Indy 300:
"We are coming off a very successful Honda test at Chicago and feel very good heading into the
race. Last year we had a second-place finish where Bryan had a well-handling, fast car. We're going to try
and re-create what we did at Michigan earlier in the year and go for the pole and the win."
