Wheels, Inc. Names David Schiller Truck Fuel Specialist
Appointment Spotlights Truck Fleet Focus on Customer Service
DES PLAINES, Ill., Sept. 6 -- Wheels, Inc., a leader in the multi-billion-dollar fleet-leasing industry, today announced that David Schiller has been named Truck Fuel Specialist within Wheels' Vehicle Operations Acquisitions/Truck Engineering area.
"With more than two decades of experience in the truck industry, David Schiller has demonstrated his in-depth knowledge of all aspects of trucking in every conceivable scenario," said Gino Fontana, Senior Director, Purchasing Operations. "He is an authority on alternate fuels, hybrid technology and emission standards. This specialized knowledge is particularly critical in these times of sharply rising fuel costs. We know it will prove extremely valuable both to our truck client base and to those primarily sedan fleets that have a small number of trucks in their mix," Fontana continued. "This appointment provides a platform for easy access to David's proven expertise and highlights our ongoing corporate commitment to provide premier customer services for clients with all types of vehicles."
In addition to continuing as a Wheels Truck Engineer, Schiller's expanded responsibilities include functioning as the expert resource on alternate fuels, hybrid technology and emission standards for both in-house staff and Wheels' clients as well as ongoing research involving current and future trends in the truck marketplace. A member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, Schiller is certified in computer-aided design. He has earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan.
