SBORO INCHES CLOSER TO NORTHEAST FOCUS TITLE WITH OSWEGO TRIUMPH

INDIANAPOLIS – Michael Sboro of Watertown, N.Y. on Sunday inched closer to
his first USAC title by capturing the 30-lap Northeast Ford Focus Midget Car
Series race victory at Oswego Speedway in Oswego, N.Y.

Sboro, driving the No. 24 Sboro Family Restaurants/Dealmaker Auto Group
Beast/Ford Focus, led the final eight laps after trailing Nick Wean for the
first 22 circuits. Wean, seeking his second career series victory, hit the
wall while leading and finished 12th.

Once in front, Sboro was never heavily challenged and came home with his
third victory of the season, beating Jeff Abold, Stephanie Stevens, Ryan
Smith and Shawn Gosselin.

The victory puts Sboro up 40 points over Abold heading into the season
finale for the first-year series, scheduled for Oct. 1-2 at Seekonk Speedway
in Seekonk, Mass.
