MARTZ LEADS MIDWEST FOCUS MIDGETS TO KENTUCKY
INDIANAPOLIS – Tate Martz of Rushville, Ind. on Saturday will lead fellow
USAC Midwest Ford Focus Midget Car Series competitors on a return trip to
the Bluegrass State for the second of two races at the Kentucky Speedway.
Martz, who looks to wrap up his second consecutive series title, holds a
130-point margin over Stephanie Mockler heading into the event, which shares
the card with the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southeast Series. The
Midwest Focus Midgets will take to the quarter-mile inside the 1.5-mile
superspeedway.
Derek Fisher of Columbus, Ind. took the first visit to the track in 2005,
winning the 20-lapper in July. Josh Clemons of Greenfield, Ind. also won on
the quarter-mile last season.
