Tony Pedregon Runs to U.S. Nationals Quarterfinals
 
CLERMONT, Ind. (Sept. 5, 2005) ­ Tony Pedregon led the Q Racing Nitro Funny
Car to the quarterfinals of today¹s 51st annual U.S. Nationals at
Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Pedregon¹s 5.133-second elapsed time at 241.54 mph wasn¹t enough to beat out
Scelzi¹s 4.891-second pass at 318.02 mph. To advance, Pedregon defeated
Robert Hight in round one with a 5.030-second run at 294.18 mph.

³We got loose at about half track,² said Pedregon, on his second-round race.
³We were on a good run too. But this Q Racing team was really resilient this
weekend. 

³We were able to have success, even though we had a set back on Saturday
morning.² Pedregon added. ³We established some consistency and this team has
come together this weekend. I¹m looking forward to Reading as we get into
some cooler conditions as well.²
