TONGLET TAKES INAUGURAL RINGERS GLOVES PRO BIKE BATTLE
Indianapolis - (September 4, 2005) Vance & Hines rider GT Tonglet came home
the victor Saturday night in the Inaugural Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle at
the 51st annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP).
Tonglet faced G-Squared S&S Buell rider Chip Ellis in the finals after his
teammate Andrew Hines and Army rider Antron Brown both red lit in the
semifinals.
Tonglet got the jump at the Tree .022 to Ellis’s .040 reaction time, which
helped him stay out front of Ellis, giving him the $15,000 check with a
victory 7.288/176.60 mph to 7.345/177.04 mph.
